     Hofstra hosted visiting Rider on Sunday with a depleted lineup due to injuries and still almost came away with a win. Highly regarded and #14th ranked Chad Walsh of Rider narrowly edged Jahlani Callender 5-4 to start off the dual meet. Hofstra was forced to forfeit at 133 and Alex Mirante filled in for Cody Ruggirello at 149 and was pinned by 19th ranked B.J. Clagon. Ruggirello had beaten Clagon 10-8 earlier in the year.

     Frank Affronti had a solid performance at 174 and #11 Jamel Hudson and Jermaine John used a barrage of taken downs to win at 141 and 184.

     Hofstra hosts #6 Cornell on Saturday at the Mack Phys Ed Center.

Rider's B.J. Clagon won the 149 pound bout by fall.
