MAT NOTES: 

In Division One, Farmingdale is the top seed and will face Manhasset in the quarterfinals. The #2 rated squad unbeaten Long Beach is pitted against BJFK in another quarterfinal match-up.  In that bottom bracket is MacArthur, the third seed, who is pitted against #6 Massapequa. The #4 ranked squad Oceanside meets #5 Calhoun in an intriguing quarterfinal skirmish. 

Division One defending champion Wantagh was edged by a talented Manhasset squad, 36-33, in a preliminary dual. In the 2024 final, Wantagh nipped Plainedge 31-28. Plainedge is the solid favorite in the Division Two Tournament and will meet Cold Spring Harbor in the semi finals. The other semi final has #2 Seaford against Island Trees. 

In the championship final, unbeaten Farmingdale (11-0) rallied to defeat perennial power Long Beach (14-1).  The Dalers trailed 31-18, but won four straight matches to emerge with a 36-31, comeback victory and were  led led by Nassau's top-ranked junior Wilson Quintanilla, who posted a tech fall at 215 pounds. Head coach Artie Weidler will bring a strong squad to the NYS Dual Meet Championships at the SRC Arena in Syracuse next weekend.

In the Divsion Two final, Plainedge (16-4), the former D-1 power has emerge to the top echelon amongst D-2 teams. Head coach Rob Shaver and the Red Devils will be paced by defending state champion Devin Downes (190) at the NYS Duals .
