Farmingdale's Eric Wolf (36-5) works for a fall. Wolf went on to win the 152 pound Nassau crown and the Champion of Champions Award. He led the Dalers to the team title in the Section VIII Championships over Long Beach and Massapequa. The last Nassau County title for Farmingdale was in 1972.

In Division I - dual meet champion Farmingdale (14-1) looks like the favorite but will be challenged by Long Beach, Oceanside and other top teams Wantagh, MacArthur, Massapequa,Calhoun and Clarke. The Dalers have two top ranked wrestlers; 160 pound senior and county bronze medalist Eric Wolf and all-county junior Wilson Quintanilla (215). Long Beach (19-2), 2024 team runners-up have three-time state place-winner Dunia Sibomana, (1-3-2) a junior with a season mark of 42-2 and a career ledger of 147-12 that will bolster a strong Marine squad. Legendary coach Ray Adams (28 years) and his stable of veteran coaches also point to county champ Ethan Andreula (33-2), a 9th-grader and state bronze medalist at 108 pounds and three other Qualifying champions, Casey Powers (30-6) at 101, state medalist Greg Walpole (20-4) at 124 and county bronze medalist Brody Franklin (33-7) at 131, along with 16 county qualifiers. Oceanside brings in three top ranked wrestlers; Jake Strianese a junior at 124, Chace Morris a sophomore at 131, and senior Jared Marine, a returning state place-winner at 190 pounds. There are 40 schools represented at the Division I Section Eight Championships.

101-MOW at Qualifier Jon Tutka (40-1) of Massapequa, Casey Powers (31-6) of Long Beach and Zach Gubba (32-6) of Calhoun all advanced to the quarterfinals. Tutka had scores of 20-2 and 19-3, Powers had a 3:31 second pin and second-seeded Zach Gubba posted an 18-0 shutout.
108- Defending county champ Ethan Andreula (35-2) of Long Beach had two first period pins, county finalist, state placer Vincent Orandello (MacArthur), county bronze medalist had a 50 second pin Mike Perez-Palacios (Farmingadale) had a tech fall and, Joshua Pierre-Paul (32-1) of Uniondale had a :47 fall.
116- Defending county champ and three-time state placer Dunia Sibomana (Long Beach) had pins of 25 and 18 seconds, Andrew Poh (VSN), won 15-0, all-county Christian McCravey (26-4) of Freeport had two tech falls.
124- Jake Strianese (Oceanside), defending county champ, state placer Carlos Salazar (34-4) of Hewlett, Hewlett Greg Walpole (Long Beach), Most Pins winner Richard King (Clarke) all advance to the quarterfinals.
131- William Grassini (Clarke), Chace Morris (38-3, 103-18) of Oceanside), Brody Franklin (35-7) of LongBeach all won their matches,the top-seeded Grassini posted two first period pins.
