   Reigning state champions Dylan Ryder (35-1) and Adam Busiello (40-0) cruised into the semi-finals, as did state finalists; Jake Silverstein (37-2) and Deonte Wilson (25-0). Ryder had a :15 second fall in the prelims, along with a 12-0 major decision over Tyler Skala (Westhampton Beach), Busiello posted two first period pins, Silverstein used a barrage of takedowns and tilts en route to a 17-1 tech fall over Bradley Wilson (WI) and Deonte Wilson applied a tight-half nelson for a 1:34 second fall against Mark Kmiotek (Sachem East). In one of the top quarterfinal bouts- Logan Sciotto (44-3) of Rocky Point used a double-bar arm for a 5:25 pin over Christian Gannone (ESM) at 113, his brother Anthony, a state bronze medalist also advanced to the semi-finals with an overhead cradle sequence for a solid 15-0 tech fall against Richard Diaz (Brentwood), Sciotto upped his season record to 50-1. Other unbeatens in the tournament are: Chris Gomez (33-0) at 138, John Glenn teammates; Nick Blanton (41-0) at 170 and state placer Joe Franzese (16-0) who used his patented half-nelson pin over Michael Tyrrell (Hauppauge) in the 182-pound class.
