North Babylon 

 North Babylon (16-1, their lone loss to a top NJ team) edged Connetquot (20-1) before a packed crowd at Bay Shore HS, in a dual meet that was hotly-contested by two of Suffolk County's elite teams. The opening bout saw a battle of returning all- county grapplers. NB senior TimothyPescatore (26-2) recorded a solid 11-2 major decision over junior Julian Medina (24-6) in the 116-pound bout. Head coach Vinny Innes is now in his 7th year at the NB helm and has able assistants; the legendary Terry Haise (58 years, including many at Freeport HS) and veteran Anthony Ciolino.

The T'Birds Jayden Medina (32-1) used a series of double leg takedowns en route to a 11-0 shutout at 145 pounds. At 152 pounds, NB's PeterBianculli scored with a reversal and near fall to eke out a 6-3 verdict over highly-regarded Roman Obert-Thorn (27-6), in perhaps the most exciting bout of the dual. Other key wins for NB were posted by Joel Lomax (27-1) at 190 and Alex Seger (26-2) at 285 pounds.

2024 SUFFOLK DIVISION I DUAL MEET TOURNAMENT​

North Babylon's Timothy Pescatore is on the attack in 116 pound action in the Suffolk Division I Dual Meet Championship Finals. Pescatore (26-2) beat Connetquot's Julian Medina 11-2 as North Babylon beat Connetquot 29-22.
